Solas europaliga kamp mot Mosonmagyarovari KC er utsatt

Smittesituasjonen i Europa gir klubbene i EHF European League utfordringer i forhold til kampavvikling i gruppespillet. Tirsdag kveld ble det bekreftet fra EHF at helgens bortekamp i Ungarn mot Mosonmagyarovari må dessverre utsettes, grunnet smitte i det ungarske laget. 

Forbundet har evaluert situasjonen, og ser ingen annen utvei enn å utsette kampen til et senere tidspunkt. Nytt tidspunkt for kampen vil man komme tilbake til, etter dialog med klubbene.

Dear handball friends,

The EHF European League Group A has the game of Motherson Mosonmagyarovari KC (HUN) vs. Sola HK (NOR) scheduled for Saturday, 22 January 2022 in Györ/HUN.

The Hungarian club informed the EHF regarding several players who were tested positive for the presence of SARS-CoV-2. Therefore, it can be assumed that there is an infection in the team and they should be isolated until the situation is stable within the team. 

After an evaluation of this situation and as a result of the available information, there is no alternative for the EHF than to call off and postpone this game in order to safeguard the health of all players and staff of both teams.

The game of EHF European League Group A between Motherson Mosonmagyarovari KC (HUN) and  Sola HK (NOR) scheduled for Saturday, 22 January 2022 at 20:00 hrs. in Györ/HUN is therefore called off and postponed to a later date.

The EHF together with the two clubs concerned will coordinate the new playing date as soon as possible.

The EHF is fully aware of the fact that the postponing of this game creates a very negative situation. However, the given circumstances and the priority of the safety and integrity of the players and the continuation of the competition did not leave any room for a different decision.
