Solas Europaliga kamp er dessverre utsatt

I kveld mottok Sola en mail fra det Europeiske forbundet angående søndagens kamp i europaligaen gruppe A.  Kampen som skulle vært spilt i Stavanger Idrettshall er dessverre utsatt grunnet covid-smitte hos HC Lokomotiva Zagreb. 

Forbundet har evaluert situasjonen, og ser ingen annen utvei enn å utsette kampen til et senere tidspunkt. Nytt tidspunkt for kampen vil man komme tilbake til, etter dialog med klubbene.

Vi vil komme med mer informasjon når dette foreligger fra sentralt hold.

Dear handball friends,

The EHF European League Group A has the game of Sola HK (NOR) vs HC Lokomotiva Zagreb (CRO) scheduled for Sunday, 09 January 2022 in Stavanger/NOR.

The Croatian club informed the EHF regarding several players who were tested positive for the presence of SARS-CoV-2. Therefore, it can be assumed that there is an infection in the team and they should be isolated until the situation is stable within the team. 

After an evaluation of this situation and as a result of the available information, there is no alternative for the EHF than to call off and postpone this game in order to safeguard the health of all players and staff of both teams.

The game of EHF European League Group A between Sola HK and HC Lokomotiva Zagreb scheduled for Sunday, 09 January 2022 at 14:00 hrs. in Stavanger/NOR is therefore called off and postponed to a later date.

The EHF together with the two clubs concerned will coordinate the new playing date as soon as possible.

The EHF is fully aware of the fact that the postponing of this game creates a very negative situation. However, the given circumstances and the priority of the safety and integrity of the players and the continuation of the competition did not leave any room for a different decision.
